The Organizing Committee is pleased to invite you to MOLMAT 2010, the IVth International Conference on Molecular Materials witch will be held from July 5th to 8th, 2010, at “Le Corum, Palais des Congrès”, in Montpellier, France.
The aim of MOLMAT Conferences is to bring together different research topics related to molecular materials : Chemical Synthesis (organic, inorganic or organometallic), Solid State Physics, Nanotechnology and Computational Modelling.
The MOLMAT 2010 organizing committee involves scientists from several local laboratories of the CNRS, the University of Montpellier (UM2), the Chemistry Engineering School of Montpellier (ENSCM), and the CEA, namely the Institut Charles Gerhardt (ICGM-CNRS/UM2/UM1/ENSCM), the Laboratoire des Verres Colloïdes et Nanomatériaux (LCVN-CNRS/UM2), the Institut d’Electronique du Sud (IES-CNRS/UM2) and the Institut de Chimie Séparative de Marcoule (CEA/CNRS/UM2/ENSCM).
The conference will focus on Molecular Materials and their potentials; as summarized below, the main topics will be: Chemistry (synthesis, structural investigations and properties); Physics (characterization methods, structure and physical properties including magnetism, optics and electronics); Computational Modelling (quantum and statistics); Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (nanomaterials, integration and emerging applications in electronics, optoelectronics, energy, sensors).

There will be 10 invited plenary lectures (45 min each), 30 oral communications (20 min) and over 200 posters. The speakers chosen for the plenary lectures will be contacted by the Organizing Committee. Prizes for best posters will be awarded to students and young researchers.
In addition to the scientific sessions, a social program will be available, and excursions and sight-seeing for accompanying persons can also be arranged upon request.
Lunches and refreshments during coffee breaks and poster sessions will be provided.
The conference will not be residential. Montpellier itself has some 2,900 hotel rooms, with 1,000 rooms within five or ten minutes of “Le Corum, Palais des Congrès”.
All the information concerning the conference will be available on a continuously updated website. Instructions for abstract submission and registration will be downloaded from the website.
Participants will automatically receive an e-mail, confirming receipt of their abstract. After the reviewing process the acceptance of the contributions, as an oral or poster presentation, will be notified to the presenting author via e-mail. An updated programme will be published on the website.
A printed program and a book of abstracts will be given to participants upon registration at the conference.
